21. Now all of the plastic parts are cleaned with an industrial cleaner.

22. And set out to dry.

23. Now it is time to work on the rusty areas. We use a wire brush, CLR, a rust remover, and sandpaper. This removes all the rust and we end up with bare metal. The only rusty areas were the top posts of the front arms and the area in front of the battery at the bottom of the front main post.

24. After the rust is removed, the machine is thouroghly cleaned front to back with an industrial cleaner such as "Mean Green".

25. After cleaning, all areas where rust was removed are repainted. This is a picture from before the rust was removed

26. All rusty areas are primed with 2 coats of Rustoleum Rusty metal primer, then 3 coats of Krylon Outdoor grade Gloss Black are applied.

27. And here is the finished result. The polar heart rate monitor is shown wrapped in foam.
